The World Bipolar Day is observed annually on the 30th of March.
It is a very saddening that bipolar mental disorder is a rarely spoken about topic unlike other mental diseases such as depression and anxiety. Many individuals suffer in utter silence mainly because of avoiding stigmatization and fear of rejections and embarrassment.
Bipolar is a kind of mental disorder that drives one into episodes of extremely high or low emotions. It leaves one feeling hopeless, sad, unworthy, unproductive, and entirely low in energy. It is important to note that this condition affects individuals of all statuses in life and not just the poor. For instance, the famous and rich celebrities such as Demi Lovato and Mariah Carey are victims of bipolar.
World Bipolar Day 2022 motivates individuals to open up about their situations so as to break taboos surrounding the topic globally. It is a significant day that highlights the signs of bipolar disorder that most individuals barely notice in their loved ones. How about we all take today as a day to learn about this illness and spread love to the victims while creating awareness about it in all our social media platforms through the hashtag #BipolarBravery!
The World Bipolar Day was initially implemented by the International Society for Bipolar Disorders (ISBD) in partnership with the Asian Network of Bipolar Disorders (ANBD) and the International Bipolar Foundation. The day was initiated as a commemoration of the birth of a prominent Dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh who battled bipolar disorder his entire life. The illness dates back to the 19th Century.
The Significance of Logo of World Bipolar Day 2022.The logo of this year’s World Bipolar day is a ribbon that entails black and white stripes to illustrate the extreme contrasting ends of individuals living with the illness.

Great post and very informative. If people were honest they probably know someone who has BPD. I know I have a couple relatives and know of others. Thank you for educating the public about this disorder.

Hey Razzworkroze, many thanks.
It is true that many people know victims of BPD and are ashamed by the fact.
I have gone through your bio and I’m sorry for your condition.
I hereby send you love 🤎
On the side I do academic writing on nursing and have dealt with chronic pains and disabilities on many occasions so in one way or another I totally understand what you’re going through. I will be reaching out on a regular basis and as much as I’m not a certified nurse you can reach out to me anytime you need an informed friend.
All my love,

Thank you so much! So many people don’t understand chronic pain too. I’ve lost most of my friend since I can’t do all the things I used to do. It’s always nice to know there is someone out there who cares. I hope we can keep in touch.
